Jenner Roth

Formative Psychotherapist

The basis of Jenner’s work is the individual’s relationship with self: what it is and how it supports them in their relationships, work and life. She believes therapy is a life enhancing experience which helps to form skills for life-long self management.

Jenner was a founding director of Spectrum Therapy in 1976. She was instrumental in introducing humanistic psychology to Europe through her work with Center, a centre for human potential workshops in Amsterdam in the early 1970s. She studied Gestalt psychotherapy with Marty Fromm, founder of the Miami Gestalt Institute and Formative Psychology with Stanley Keleman at the Center for Energetic Studies in Berkeley, and in 2023 was invited to become a practitioner member of the newly formed International Formative Psychology Institute.

Jenner created the Sexuality Programme for men and women in 1974. She has been passionate about her work with women and women’s issues for over five decades. As well as running women’s on-going groups, she initiated Women in the World in 1985, an annual residential workshop to focus on women learning from their own experiences as a basis for forming and evolving their lives and the lives of women in the world.
